Leefield Station is a range of wines that celebrate the history of the iconic sheep and beef station located in the heart of the Waihopai Valley. Purchased in 2013 by Marisco Vineyards, the property inspired us to go back to the beginning with our winemaking approach.

The wine is a clear, bright ruby colour. A complex array of high toned red fruit aromas, ripe cherry, raspberry, cranberry with lifted floral notes, undertones of fine spice, savoury herb and quality oak Juicy, youthful and vibrant fruit driven palate. Super smooth and supple with delicate and fine fruity tannins complimenting a balanced spine of acidity. Pure cherry flavours with some sweet oak notes evident on the finish. Drinking very nicely in its' youth. Very moreish. Cellar with confidence for 3-5 years

This full bodied Pinot Noir from Waipara has classic dark plum, ripe blackberries and spicy warm chocolate notes. A beautiful match with New Zealand lamb, crispy duck, or any dish with equally robust flavours.

This enticing Pinot Noir is full of attitude, style and extravagance. Decadent blackberry and sweet dark cherry aromas are delivered with opulence, chalky tannins and complex oak spice.

Deep ruby in appearance with aromas of dark fruit, such as blackcurrents, plums and boysenberries. Layered beneath there are also hints of tobacco, liquorice and cloves.

Upon release it is deep ruby in colour. The nose is brimming with vibrant red fruit including plum, raspberry and cherry. There are also hints of spice, vanilla and chocolate, with some underlying savoury notes. The wine is mouth-filling, yet balanced with plush velvety tannins, refreshing acidity and a prolonged finish.

The Black Label Cabernet Sauvignon exhibits aromas of lifted dark red fruits, plum, and blueberry with layers of vanilla and spice. A well-structured, full palate with flavours of dark berries and cherries with well-integrated and balanced spiced oak, ensuring good length of flavour.

This wine is a soft and velvety Merlot combined with the more powerful Cabernet Sauvignon grapes producing a luscious red wine. The reason this blend works so well is that the two varieties complement each other allowing a fuller flavour wine with an all round mouth feel.

The wine McGuigan Black Label Merlot is soft and elegant with fresh red berry characters, generous weight, and good length of flavour with a sweet oak finish. The soft velvety texture of Merlot makes it a great partner for a range of dishes featuring red meat, pork and chicken.

A smooth and vibrant Shiraz exhibiting rich aromas of red berries, chocolate, savoury leather and spicy oak notes. The full rounded palate displays generous red berry fruit flavours, soft tannins and a long finish.

This Merlot is a smooth and easy drinking wine with intense fruit flavours of plum and red berries. Pair this wine with roast chicken or tomato-based pasta dishes.
