This is a love letter to Dublin, from 19,140 km away, in Dunedin. Written in Ireland's beautiful mother tongue: Stout. First, a serenade of coffee flavours and toasty notes, before tenderly giving way to delicate bitter, dry finish, that will leave you longing for more. Is tú mo ghrá, as they say in the other Irish dialect.

A hallucinatory, mind-bending, consciousness-expanding, dream-like experience is not what you'll find in this can. It's just a beer, man. But, this cloudy IPA does have a gnarly hit of Riwaka, Simcoe, and Mosaic hops, with a tropical citrus flavour, and a totally piney finish. At least it's a trip for your taste-buds. Far out.

After a hard day's fighting to the death in the Colosseum, you deserve something a bit special. Gladiator Bock is so decadent it's fit for an emperor's plaything. Rich, dark, and a little bit strong. The blend of five malts meld together beautifully over many weeks, to deliver an indulgent ruby-brown Spartacus of a brew. It's not for the faint of heart, or the faint of taste bud.

Batten down the hatches. Stock up on firewood. Don your dressing gown. Slide into you slippers. Lap the cat. Open this can. Weizenbock is the perfect brew for hunkering down. It translates to strong wheat beer, but there's a lot more to it than that. Malty, rich, full-bodied, and warming, with flavours of Christmas cake, Easter spices and chocolate. Bring on winter.

Just because you don't want a beer, it doesn't mean you don't want a beer. So, Emerson's brewed you a beer. Inspired by the big bold flavours of Bird Dog IPA, but without the bite. Little Bird is an alcohol free IPA, with a deliciously-puritanical, true expression of the hop flavour. It's so tasty, you won't even realise you're not drinking. Until the morning, of course. Dry hopped using New Zealand and USA hops for a super-fresh, super vibrant aroma, with a super-crisp, super-quenching finish.

Porter is the oldest commercially brewed style and London Porter was Emerson's first beer. Dark, dry and mellow with some hoppy characteristics, pours a deep brown colour with reddish tints.

Hold on to an Emerson's tasting where ever you go. The beach, the backyard, the back of beyond, or even just your place. This mini bar contains a carefully curated selection of favourites, so you can take your taste-buds on a journey, even while you're on a journey. Just make sure you keep it somewhere cold - this isn't actually a real fridge.

The 2024 Bird of the Year is now also the Bird with a Beer. Emerson's love their Hoiho there in Dunedin and they are proud to have played a part in turning its yellow eyes gold, for the second time. People's Penguin is easy drinking, with vibrant notes of stone fruit, and a biscuity malt backbone. It features local Garston Rakau hops, and Riwaka Amplifire hop oil from Clayton. Enjoy the sweet taste of victory.

As a young man, Richard Emerson was a huge fan of the Dunedin Sound. Being deaf, he couldn't hear the music, but he could feel it. From the jangling guitars reverberating through the speakers, to the buzz reverberating through the gigs. This beer is a tribute to The Sound, made with NZ hops for a bold local flavour, that will reverberate around your taste buds.

Officially, this is a Mexican-style lager. But you could think of it as a Dunedin Cerveza. A very refreshing beer from a city that could hardly be further south of the border. It's crisp, with a malty backbone, subtle hop flavours, and just a hint of citrus but feel free to add a fresh slice of your own. Now you know what they've always known down there: nothing beats an ice-cold Sunny Day.

If you've been mowing your super-long lawn, running super-fast, or out in the super-hot sun, you'll need to super-quench your super-thirst. This Pacific Pilsner has been dry-hopped with NZ and US hops to make it super-tasty, while it's light body and crisp finish make it super-refreshing. At just 4% ABV, and 40% lower in carbs, you can feel slightly-smug, too.
